VAN LIFE TOUR – Living Full-Time in a Beautiful Tiny Home Conversion

Jaz and Crystal have been living in their DIY Sprinter van conversion for a year and a half, along with their two dogs, Bella and Izzy. They’ve travelled across Canada, and through the US, Mexico and into Guatemala (where they had to turn around and rush home after the pandemic broke out!). Their conversion is beautiful, functional and spacious, with an expanding bench for the dogs and all their toys, a big kitchen with a fridge, fruit basket and floor-to-ceiling pantry for food storage, and a dinette with a swivel table that converts into a large bed for this adorable family of 4 🙂

The van cost $14,000 CAD, and the build cost $10,000 CAD and took 8 months working in their spare time because they were also working full-time jobs as well. The couple is very happy with their build but do say they would include a toilet and a shower in their next build now that they’ve experienced living in a van when stores, campgrounds, recreation centres and gyms are shut down.

Jaz and Crystal have an awesome YouTube channel and Instagram page, and you should definitely follow their Vanwives adventures here:

Thanks for showing us how they do it. I like the food storage and especially the fridge. Making up the bed each day can get old, but nice to have the space during the day. You always find the best places to highlight.

Wouldn't it be much more efficient and cheaper to heat yourselves at those cold nights with a mattress warmer instead? On a side note, you should always keep your bananas away from other fruits, they maje them last shorter!

U have to insure it as an RV right? So besides parking in normal spaces, and a cheaper price tag, why not get an actual RV? Maybe an RV that needs renovations?
