Welcome back to New Zealand! Ahh the struggles of travel, they’re definitely increased when it comes to campervan and vanlife adventures. It’s kind of to be expected that on any large trip there’s a few niggles along the way, we’ve made it quite far into this New Zealand road trip before really facing anything too major fortunately.
Today we’re checking out the Lake Matheson Hike – hiking in NZ is a popular thing to do and this spot at Lake Matheson is worthy of a look given the mirror lake views, we just didn’t get to see the. Then it’s back to the campervan and on the road through the Haast Pass, which was actually pretty gentle to us considering it’s known to be a challenging drive in New Zealand! Last stop, Wanaka, home for the night. We’d like to show more of Wanaka eventually, but things change and we plan on an early start to hit the road again first thing.
Reveal NZ is a 20+ part video series, so make sure you’re subscribed to follow along with all episodes here: More than just taking a motorhome around New Zealand, it’s about how to travel New Zealand, the top tourist spots, the hidden local gems, incredible day trips, extreme activities, amazing accommodation and a spot of wining and dining… It’s about making you feel like you’re along for the travels with us, so grab a drink of your poison, sit back and get ready for 5 weeks driving in a campervan hire from Auckland to The Catlins.
