What was the name of your 400 dollors studio apartment near Mr tho garden villa? Too sweet.
We are a Swedish couple who are in Asia 3 months every year, Dec Jan Feb. We run a small hotel the rest of the year in the south of France in a small medieval village near Toulouse. So if you are ever in the area……

Thanks for this video. It gave me a good idea. i don't care about Vietnamese nightlife. Everybody does those. This is what I am interested in as I am getting ready to retire. Have you done any videos about the visa situation for long term stays in Vietnam? I will look for one. You do a good job and are a very nice couple.

Apologize if you've answered this before, but from the money you earn, how do you get it into the local currency? I would think there'd be a fair amount of "friction" cost associated with money transfer, exchange rate, possibly ATM fees, etc.

Also, I never seen insurance as an expense. I would think some sort of health insurance would be prudent given that medical expenses are the number cause of bankruptcy. Sorry, I don't mean to be a downer! But, devil's in the details when trying to make your lifestyle long-term feasible.

And what kind of gear are you using!

    Great videos, keep it up!

Hey Dane, I'm wondering if you could help me out with the legalities of scooters in Vietnam and how it affects travel insurance if accidents happen? Someone else mentioned the international license means the scooter is fine?

Great video…..Thank you for showing us and telling us about "apartment/villa" hunting in Hoi An and DaNang. I am an English teacher and a professional Chef. I hope to move to either Hoi An or DaNang in the near future to live and teach/cook, professionally. I prefer a ground floor or second story apartment such as yours here. I would really love to find a house/villa. Did you look at any of these in DaNang or Hoi An?

Hi guys it's nice that i found you! I'm going to work in Da Nang and my company giving me accomodation in Hoi An. Could you please tell me about this house you rent for 400 USD? I can't find a suitable place for me, i found some but its starts from 600 USD. I'm going to bring my family to live out. Would love to hear you out!

  19. Joe Kennon

Yes tgat the place i wrote you about. I plan on coming to live in Asia next May. I'm up in the air about Thailand Vietnam or Bali. So was in Vietnam during the war in my youth. I was stationed near qin nohn. Beautiful country and wonderful people. Hope out paths cross one day you two lovely folks have a cold one coming on me.

Hi, greetings,The laws & liability of scooters in VN require a license & availability of insurance. True, the practical laws are extremely open on enforcement. I would recommend a license prior to setting out on a scooter due to frequent accident possibilities in heavier traffic. Helmets are used throughout the country. Insurance is there to protect from injuries. Please be careful. Thank you for the video's. (sounds like dad), Very best regards …

Hey man , when it comes to accomadtions are most of these places like the res of thailand , canggu and vietnam similar to how it is in chiang mai? By that i mean are they all you just walk in and ask for rooms or is it a book ahead of time thing?

  25. Rikki Quay

Can you give me the name of the real estate agent you used in Hoi An as I couldn't find it in the main comment?
