Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here:

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we rean out of money and went home to normal life. We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to 😉 Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Van life was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

thank you so much for the delightful inspiration kara and nate to expand my comfort zone—if not for the pandemic, i could be off somewhere climbing too huhuhu!

Hey y’all. I hate to treat these two like a “social experiment” but I have to admit I do enjoy following their brand just to see if it collapses quite frankly. I mean international travelers with a running countries visited count, then Covid, then some blip last summer where they got back on a plane and now back to domestic stuff. Is the community taking bets on whether their brand will just fade away quite frankly?

There is a person that lives half way up pikes peak and has a 60 mile long driveway! You should try to interview him or go on the pikes peak cog rail.

I miss the videos that were about normal people traveling on a budget. The newer stuff can be entertaining but not very relatable.

    Dear Nate,
Please recommend more books. I downloaded The Impossible First and listened to it in 3 days. Excellent listen. Please do another one.

I just finished the marathon of watching all your videos. Thank you for the wonderful inspiring ride. I have to admit, at 70, my current comfort zone is pretty small. But I put over 70,000 miles touring on a motorcycle, so there were better days. You have inspired me to be a better husband, a better person, and to look for the unexpected as a chance to grow instead of complain.

Everest can kill you if you are not super prepared mentally and physically. It is NOTHING like what you have done… it is a whole lot of notches above, probably in another category all together. Comfort zone has little to do with whether you will succeed or not. You have to be a climber, not a hiker, and very experienced climbers have died there, and more very year. Don't add your name to the list.

Well… today is a sad day. I’ve just finished every single Kara and Nate video from the very start. I even watched the short 5 minute announcement videos.

What do I do in my month of sickness now.

Hey guys! LOVE LOVE LIVE your videos! Tell me….my hubby is a huge coffee nut. What brand Hand coffee grinder do you guys use???

I am sorry, but I don't like the direction your channel is going. I don't like the content with the extreme-sports friends. I understand you need the thrill cause you would be bored just visiting the 50 states, but I miss the balance of luxury and air-port-lounges. This life of NEVER showering … I just can't stomach it, sorry. But you won't miss one follower. So it doesn't matter.

Kara & Nate, I love watching your content! Y’all do such a great job keeping it interesting. Keep up the awesome adventure. Quick question, what brand of manual coffee grinder do y’all use. Looking into it and trust y’all to give me an honest opinion/answer. Thanks 👍

  16. David and Sarah

Yep… we can definitely vouch for the fact that -27 is COLD! We recently experienced a couple of days of -35 c days on our working holiday here in British Columbia! Thanks for making awesome adventure videos for us to follow 😊
