If you want to find out more about True North Tiny Homes, you can follow them here:

Daniel and his wife JoAnna built this 24-foot long tiny house on wheels as a model to see what they could fit in it and to allow people to see what tiny house living is all about.

Their goal was to make it as comfortable as possible so they’ve got a loft with extra headroom that allows you to sit up in bed, a ladder staircase combo that’s comfortable to go up and down, and a hidden dishwasher and washer dryer as well.

One of the most striking features of the tiny house is the rooftop deck they built into the roofline which provides outdoor space and great views no matter where the tiny house is parked. To waterproof the deck, they used a product called Duradek:

The house is a hybrid so it can run off solar power for short periods of time but it currently only has 500 watts of solar and a couple of batteries so it would need to be upgraded to be completely off-grid. The water system can switch between a fresh and greywater tank, or be hooked up to municipal water. The house also has a Separett composting toilet and a propane water heater and stove.

They also have a combination heater/air conditioner unit in the loft to heat and cool the tiny house.

Another feature that we love is the large casement windows that can be tilted open even in the rain.

This is a beautiful tiny house and if you’re interested in checking it out, they have it up on Airbnb here:

One thing I wouldn’t do is put my clothes in the kitchen drawers, I wouldn’t want to wear the odor of dinner the night before. They missed the change to build storage where the glass wall is going to the loft. And why would you want to sit on the roof when it’s 100 degrees outside. That is storage. 👎

    I like it!
If I could only tow it, behind my VW Bug!
Lots of windows, & loads of light.
More off grid, capabilities are prepared.
Heating efficiently, is something that I would have to consider!
    Keep your smiles on!
