WE MISSED OUR FLIGHT :(.. Barbados to Nashville

We almost made it two full years of full-time travel without missing a flight, but we missed our last flight of 2017 and had to sleep in the airport. Besides that, it was a great day of travel!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig, and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. 🙂

We’ve pulled inspiration from several of our favorite travel vloggers on YouTube, such as: +Casey Neistat +FunForLouis +Jon Olsson +Mr Ben Brown, and any other talented travel vloggers that YouTube’s algorithm will hopefully connect us with 😉

Don’t worry when I went to Barbados I missed my flight. Anytime I go to a Carribean island that is not Jamaica(where I live) I miss my flight 😐

Hotel, with Uber both ways. Seriously Nate, you are a lucky man. Brian would be online booking a hotel and Uber the nano-second after we missed the flight. He's big into self preservation. But that would never have happened, I'm always double and triple checking all times, gates and updates. He gets mad that I'm always being crazy about times, buts he's appreciated it the few times he's screwed up!

this happened to me with the same airlines, same airport, and going to same state. i had to sleep in the airport, but they provided us with a cot and a pillow because majority of our flight missed the same flight. we got stuck in a thunderstorm. hopefully, it was the experience to learn from

The reason you were at the top of the list was because most likely the others on standby were employees. So you being a revenue passenger puts you ahead of them.

I love how they can see the positives through the negatives. It just makes me smile knowing there are still people who don’t get angry at everything in the world.

Just about had a fit when I saw Nate on the airport carpet 😝. More germs there than in the toilet. Then to see the two of you sitting on the floor sent me over the edge. Had to stop watching. Welcome home.

Seems like Kara gets more excited about going to airport lounges than actually arriving at the countries your visiting. lol

Its only 5 hours to nashville to charlotte. Rent a car. Also Charlotte has excellent airbnb places. we stayed there not long ago

How did you like Sandals Barbados? We were just there – please check out my Sandals Royal Barbados resort tour. I almost missed my Gatwick to Toronto flight with Air Transat. Sat in a pub too long. Luckily made it to the aircraft just in time. Last person boarded. It was in 1999 before 9/11, so they allowed me to sit with the pilots for landing. One time we missed a flight LAX-YYZ coming back from Tahiti due to a delay and were put on stand-by with Delta. We did get on.
