Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years 🙂 Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. 🙂

Hey Guys, Hello from Florida! I'm new to Kara and Nate and just wanted to say that I LOVE watching you guys! You're so good together….makes me smile. Thanks for providing great content. You always seem to answer the questions that come up with regard to norms and being culturally sensitive. What an adventure to be on with you!! Keep up the great work!

I still dont understand who or which travel company funds all your trips. Or just your own money? If I may ask. I've seen your tips on getting free stuff or discounts. But everything else im sure costs money. Your vlogs are fun to watch though. I also do lots of traveling on my own as well as work for a major airline as flight crew.

How come u guys speak to the camera and no one notices, I do the same thing and everyone looks at me like I am some crazy guy. Seriously .

Just found your page and believe me, I appreciate the effort that both of you put into these videos because this is exactly what I love to watch 🙂 thanks for inspiring me!

Love that Khao Soi noodle shop on Silom. But they're not necessarily cheap for roadside noodle shop and they only open for lunch. 🙄

I just saw the whole thailand playlist and when I was watching the last video even I saw the difference. Also the video quality has improved too.

Hey guys! Curious what area of town you stayed in on this trip? Or any Airbnb’s you recommend there? I’m currently planning a trip to Bangkok and I’m having trouble picking an area of town. Also, Thank you for making these great travel videos, they’re helping so much with my trip planning!!

Love your vlog guys! We are going to bangkok in december and that hotel/airbnb looks so nice. What's its name? 😀

Hey Guys, I am a huge fan of your Vlog's. But just one question, why dint you guys spend a week in Mumbai (Workcationing) instead of spending it in Thailand? Were you guys exhausted by any chance?

I actually think experiencing the same city on a tight budget and then the next trip a little splurge or vice versa is healthy. It really changes up what you see, how you rest and what you eat. Thanks for sharing that with us. Does Nate not have the t-shirt business? I have been following a bit so I remember used to have that. I think it was you guys… ?

When I was in Thailand with my family I ate that, at least I think it was that. My mom got it for me because I was sick in the hotel with the flu, yeah on vacation 🙁 it looked just like that so that’s why I think it was the same.

So I can't understand….you ate Cow-soy? So that's beef with soy something in it? And why if the food is so spicy, do you eat it. It sounds horrible.

Do you guys have any videos on how you pack for an extended travel?? I’d love to see essentials, bags, outfits, shoes you prefer, hygiene, etc

Research is one of the most stressful parts of planning a trip…not only the transportation and lodging, but also what to do while there.
Also, great job editing, Kara! I loved your vlogs since the beginning, but the quality is noticeably more advanced now 🙂

Is the travel hacking course useful for the UK? A lot of hacks seem specifically targeted at USA credit cards etc?
    Love the channel

guys my question is how do u make money for ur travel ? i am thinking of traveling too but what should i do ?

  17. John Scanlon

This was even more interesting than the vlog you did on how you finance your travel. One on how you put together the initial funding and the amount of initial financing you had would be good too.

After watching this, I realise that you have revisited places from your early months of travel vlogging. I commented on your 'what next' Nov video, that perhaps you should – ignore that comment. 😁

Panthia Cowsway is a popular meal in our family. Nearly everyone of us can cook it. One of my favourite meals.

You did not really explain what you do for "work" or how you make money. I am sure a lot of your followers would like to know what you do to be able to afford to travel around the world.
