Small Apartment Tour – Life in a Beautiful 400 ft² Studio Apartment in the City
Jessica has been living in this 400 ft² studio apartment for 3 years and she’s giving us a full tour to share how she decorated it and set it up to be a small but beautiful & functional space for relaxing, cooking, sleeping, being creative, and working from home.

The apartment is an open-concept space that could have easily become cluttered with furniture and belongings but Jessica thoughtfully laid everything out so that it feels like each area is clearly defined. She also made design choices that help keep the space feeling bright and spacious, like painting the walls white, installing mirrored closet doors, hanging minimalist art, and choosing furniture that blends in rather than stands out (like the glass waterfall table and the white storage chest).
One huge advantage to Jessica’s space is that it has a massive 4-door closet that gives her enough space to store all of her clothes, bags and luggage, shoes, and other possessions. She also has access to a storage locker that allows her to store hockey gear and other larger items.
Jessica plans to move into a larger space when she’s ready to start a family but says this apartment was perfect for this time in her life. The only things she would change would be to have a proper balcony (she has a Juliet balcony but would have liked to be able to actually sit outside), and she would have also liked a little bit more counter space for preparing food.
We hope you enjoyed touring this small apartment with us! Be sure to check out Jessica’s YouTube channel here:

Excellent organizational skills.
I seriously love this channel. Constantly being inspired and it’s so cool to see personalized homes and the reasons behind each touch. I also love that each video teaches lessons on minimalism, sustainability, travel, construction and so much more. Beautiful Videos!
400 ft² studio? Are you kdding me? In my city this would be a 2-bedroom apartment that costs 1.5M+.
This is so cute!!!!!
Funny how people, especially from english speaking countries, think what is a small flat 😃 we are living in a place that is 10m2 smaller than this apartment – 2 pleople, a dog and a snail. However, still i liked the place!
Love this space! Jessica and dad have really put a lot of love into it. xx
First of all, Cudos to your dad ….. Everything has a place and purpose. Love it.
In the corner near balcony I would put nice big flower like yuka, palma, citron tree etc.
I have been following you folks about a couple years and am never disappointed with your videos!
My husband and I are renovating a 1920s, 400sq ft structure, on our property, into an off grid bunkhouse. Possibly as an Airbnb. We plan to insulate it with hemp batts and hemp blocks. Is that something that would interest you as a place to visit?
That’s a truly beautiful home. Well designed. Outstanding use of space. I love her practicality as well.
Im homeless but i moved into a shed i own on land i own because i was staying at a house until it was repossessed from my dad. Im trying to save up for an apartment cuz i just got a new job but im being threatented just for staying in my shed in the meantime and its a minute walk from my job. I have no idea what to do. If america truly is free, i should be able to stay there like i have been until i can get an apartment or camper. Im not some crazy person who wants to live in a shed. I literally had no other choice bc i couldnt afford anywhere else. Either way, im going to fight for my right to live peacefully. Im not going to be stuffed into a homeless shelter or give up my dog for an overpriced crap apartment. I could use the help getting my water hooked up cuz thats the only legal requirement in my area but i cant afford it. Even if i can get it waived for a year or two itd be a big help. Theres no other affordable living arrangements immediately available to me. If you can help or know who can please reply
Beautiful place..I would be concerned about my clothes smelling of food. A curtain or pretty divider can be used to close off the kitchen.
Your apartment may be small, but it’s Mighty! Very cozy, warm and welcoming. Congratulations
This is maybe small for Americans, it's 37m2, 2 room flat in Europe. Great for a couple.
Your studio is absolutely beautiful ! Love the decor & your sofa !
Beautiful space and great couch. I’ve never lived in an apartment where the landlord allows me to make renovations, very nice.
Why are they making this out to be an "odd" thing cause her apartment is a little smaller? Shes one person and even if it was more than just her there's nothing wrong with having a smaller space to call home. If you're happy living in a box all that matters is you're happy. I love her apartment!!
Very nice
